¡Bienvenidos! |

Dear Friends:
Where did the year go? I finally got to settle down a little bit to start working in Mexico after a nine month “visit” in the United States and the year is gone. So much happened. A lot of blessings, a lot of good things and unfortunately, some not so good things. I have always known that God is with me in all aspects of my life but this year’s experiences have made me even more aware of His Goodness. There are things that affect our lives so deeply. God is Merciful. He is Good. He makes everything right.
CLINIC/HOSPITAL PROJECT…..
As much as we wanted to start this project in November, we have not been able to do a whole lot yet. We have paper work to do first, surveyor will be coming from Tennessee and survey the land, we are looking for best prices for the construction materials, and on and on goes the do first list before actually digging the foundation. But we are headed in that direction and once we get started, the mason says it will take approximately nine months for completion of his part. It is getting exciting knowing that the walls will be going up before too long. Please keep this in your prayers.
CHURCHES…..
I attended the new congregation tonight in Pastoria. It is going really well. Juan Carlos and Sarai are doing a really good work there. Pastoria was a difficult village to get into but the Lord is blessing, the people are looking for the Truth and we have it to share. The Maravillas Church is growing but very slowly. Juan Carlos continues to be faithful in the work there.
The new congregation in Loreto is doing well. Israel is working with the church and has a prison ministry started as well. These three areas I just mentioned are very difficult places to preach the Gospel. We really need prayer support for these ministers.
Our fourth church, Rascon, which is an older congregation continues to do well under the leadership of Fernando. Although, he is wanting to return home so will be leaving our Mission this month of December. I have another minister who may come and take his place. I will present him at a later date.
SOME PERSONAL TALK…..
Many are asking how my tests have come out and how I am doing. Everything is great. The Doctor is pleased with my progress. I am back working fully. I don’t feel like I gain as much ground as I used to but then I’m not getting any younger either. What I have learned is that an operation sure takes a lot out of you. I’m just thankful things are as well as they are. I am committed to lose one pound each week for 52 weeks. How hard will that be? It should be a piece of cake. (I hope.) So far I am meeting my goal – but then I just started this week…..so I’m one pound less heavy. Don’t laugh, at least I met my goal. This time next week it has to be two pounds. Sounds easy enough to me. If any of you want to try it, write me and we’ll support each other.
BLESSINGS…..
The Lord promised to meet our needs. Our wants I think are separate. This year the Lord filled all my needs but also a want…..I received the blessing of an exceptionally beautiful car. I have driven trucks and vans so long, I had forgotten what a nice car feels like when traveling so far. I am deeply grateful for this gift.
MANY, MANY THANKS…..
Yes, for your support financially, in prayers, in your words of encouragement. Believe me, the year 2008 has taught me much. It was through my illness, problems, sad situations, I came to understand just how much people love me. I am the most blessed. I just can’t tell enough people of what God has for our lives if we will just let Him bless us in every situation of our lives.
Brethren, thank you from the very deepest of my heart for your love, your interest, your help. I will work harder than ever for His Kingdom God bless each one. Cris.
